Course Description
QL MASTER CLASS

The QL Masterclass is positioned as “The Missing Link in Lower Back Pain Treatment.” Its goal is to help therapists confidently assess, treat, and rehabilitate the Quadratus Lumborum (QL) — even in complex or chronic low-back pain cases.

The course acknowledges that many therapists “are guessing” when it comes to QL issues (unsure if they’re really on the QL, or mistakenly attribute pain to disc, joint, or other structures). Pain Posture Performance
Rather than being a random set of techniques, the course offers a complete system: a structured plan from assessment → diagnosis → treatment → rehab, specifically for QL-driven lower back pain.

Learning Objectives

After completing the course, you will be able to:

  • Confidently locate and palpate the QL using reliable anatomical landmarks rather than guesswork.

  • Understand the true architecture of the QL (its triangular, multi-fiber, deep abdominal nature — not just “a back muscle”).

  • Accurately palpate through tissue layers to reach the QL safely and effectively.

  • Use a structured subjective & objective assessment (including pain history, red-flag screening, objective tests) to clarify if pain is QL-related or discogenic/neural.

  • Apply at least seven QL-specific treatment techniques: e.g. myofascial release, positional release, IASTM (instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization), stretching, and neuromuscular therapy.

  • Integrate breathing, stability work, and rehab drills into a longer-term treatment plan to support QL health — not just quick fixes.

  • Build short-, medium-, and long-term treatment plans for QL-related pain rather than relying on single-session fixes.
